The following links are to mental health charities. If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, please seek help through one of the following charities:

Young Minds are a charity which help young people who are struggling with their mental health. They have phonelines available called "parents hotline"; blogs discussing mental health; guidelines on symptoms; and advice on how to help. Although this charity is focused on the mental health of younger people, it offers clear and helpful advice to anyone who's struggling or knows somebody who is. Their website is:

Another large mental health charity in the United Kingdom is Mind. They also offer confidential help for people struggling with their mental health via phone call, text, or webchat. Mind's website also has important information on different types of mental health issues, and what action can be taken to improve an individual's mental health. Their website is:

Samaritans are another UK based charity that offer in-branch, text, or phone advice for those struggling with their mental health. Their website offers help on what to do if you're struggling and how to help others who are struggling also. Their phonelines are open 24/7 for those in need. Their website is:

More specifically, organisations such as State of Mind that are more specific to sport, that aim to "harnesses the power of sport to promote positive mental health among our sportsmen and women, fans and wider communities, and ultimately to prevent suicide." Their website is:
