DR CHRISTOPHER ELSEY

Dr Christopher Elsey

Methodologically my research primarily utilises video recordings to investigate work-place practices, activities and sites of learning, informed by the sociological research traditions of ethnomethodology, conversation analysis and symbolic interactionism.

The worksite settings analysed to date include medical consultations (e.g. GP, Memory Clinics), air force communication and military inquiries, and an educational setting for adults with learning difficulties.

My current research focused on professional sport, mental health and media discourses.

LEANNE BILLINGTON

Hello! My name is Leanne and I am currently a Health Studies graduate  from DMU. I hope to become a counsellor for children at schools. After graduating I used my spare time to help Chris with his interesting research! Not so long ago, I did a dissertation on gaming and how it effects children and young people. I am a gamer which is why I am so interested and passionate about gaming. I mainly play League of Legends (LoL) at the moment in which I am a support main trying to get to gold and above!  I also play The Sims 4 as I find this a more relaxing game compared to LoL. Besides, my love for gaming I also enjoy collecting crystals, doing tarot/oracle readings and learning about crystal healing.
